In that sense, it could be that human blood harming their foes is a natural part of the world and that the events of the courtyard are a result of advanced human technology rather than godly powers, etc. They might have all sorts of teleportation devices, suits of armour with lasers, and the ability to swap matter from our world with stuff from the ASTRAY3 world. Heck the story could even be built on lies that Anom told his father and which others have told for an unknown reason.
