Hello folks,

Yup, Astray3 chapter 3 page 36 will be delayed for a bit more. It’s taking longer to work through than I initially estimated. My revised update estimate will be some time on Saturday. I’ll publish as soon as it is complete. The translation will post at the same time.

I suspect updates will be a bit random in the rush to finish the chapter by the end of the month. This is primarily due to wedging in more show work between comic work time.

I’m currently considering the schedule for when Astray3 chapter four starts. Current thoughts are that Astray3 might go on break in June to prep for the new chapter, organize a print for chapter three, and wrap up work for the show. Chapter four will be a doozy that requires some prep time. ( I might as well build a buffer at the same time. So, we can get back to some semblance of consistency. )

This week’s update will be pushed to Thursday.

If you don’t follow any of my social media accounts, then you might not know that I’ve been working on some print projects; two to be exact. One will be a limited print run of the first two Astray3 chapters. The second will be an art booklet containing some of the miscellaneous stuff I create between A3 updates. ( Check out the cover for that below. )

The planned premier for these books will be at the June 29th Death Ray Expo show. https://www.stubs.net/event/2481/death-ray-illustration-print-expo

After the show, the remaining books will be available for purchase online. Depending on demand, there might be additional print runs. ( However, they’ll eventually be discontinued when the final book one collection is ready for print. ) There will also be Comixology versions created for your digital perusal.

Sorry to say there will be a brief delay for Astray3 chapter 3 page 34. Instead of waiting for Thursday, I’ll be posting the comic when it’s finished. Should be Tuesday or Wednesday at the latest.

In further news, there will not be a comic update next week. I need to finish up work on an art book(let) that has to be sent to the printers by the end of next week. Yes, an art book(let). It’ll be a mish-mash of miscellaneous artwork I’ve created over the previous year. There will be some Astray3 artwork in there too. Initially, these will only be available at the June, 29th Deathray Expo. Afterward, there will be a temporary e-shop for you internet folks to obtain a copy. The artbooks will be a limited run. So, once they’re gone they’re gone. Also, expect some fancy art prints to trade for your money papers.

Hello Astray3 readers!

As stated above, this week’s update will drop on Thursday. Expect shifting updates to be the norm for the next couple of months. I’m playing catch up with a lot of non-comic production duties. The above being an example.

The above image will be the cover for the first Comixology collection of Astray3 chapter one. If I can manage it, each chapter will be posted on Comixology for easier reading on mobile devices. ( And another way for folks to support the comic. ) This also means more comic delays as I move onto the artwork for chapter two. ( Chapter three will soon follow. )

I’m also preparing for the Death Ray Expo in June. ( https://www.facebook.com/events/hilton-garden-inn-fayetteville/death-ray-illustration-print-expo/783748332000043/ ) Yes, I’ll finally start looking into attending shows and conventions. It will still be some time before the first Astray3 print book is ready for purchase. But, I’m laying the groundwork for that with these early shows. There will also be a shop for various Astray3 tchotchkes and assorted sundries soon. Look for that after the June show.
